For families with younger children there is easy access to the cycle trails and short walks across the fields to Hartington Meadows Nature Reserve and Ruby Woods or down the lane to Hartington Mere conservation pond.
The attractive market towns of Bakewell and Buxton and Matlock, Matlock Bath and Ashbourne are all within a 20 minute drive of the property. Supermarkets can be found at Buxton, Bakewell, Ashbourne and Matlock. Petrol station with convenience store 1.3 miles.
Attractions within a 25-minute drive include Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Peak Wildlife Park, Heights of Abraham and Buxton Opera House. There is a bus stop just down the lane where you can catch the Buxton to Ashbourne bus, a scenic route which takes you through pretty Peak District villages such as Tissington, Longnor, Hartington and Warslow.
